Any photograph purchased from us can be framed. We use 100% acid-free archival framing materials and UV protection, which preserves the photograph over a long period of time. We frame using both float and traditional framing methods.
Photographs are printed on acid free photo paper with a laminate coating applied. The laminate we use is Lustre, which has a very low sheen resulting in no glare, surpassing even museum glass. The photograph is then mounted to Dibond. Dibond is an aluminum composite material made of two thin sheets of aluminum bonded to a solid polyethylene core, creating a lightweight rigid and durable product. This sleek modern look comes with hardware included; ready to hang and float off your wall. For sizes 18x24 and smaller a wood hanging system is used on the back of the photograph. For larger sizes an aluminum wire frame system is used.
18x24 sized photos will use Douglas Fir with wire on the back for hanging.

Larger photos will be done with an aluminum frame and cleat on the back for hanging.

Even though the finished exterior size is the same as a traditionally framed photo the actual image size is larger using the Dibond method since no space is taken up by a mat. For example an 18”x24” traditionally framed photograph has a 2-1/2” mat all around the image, with an image size of 13”x19”. A Dibond, in comparison, has no mat so the image is the full 18”x24” size.
A soft damp cloth can be used to clean the surface of the photograph. No chemicals should ever be used for cleaning.
We use the exact same process to produce a Float frame as we use for a Dibond with the only difference in that the finished Dibond is recessed into a float frame. For Sizing, Care and Maintenance see info on Dibond above.

The traditional method of framing places a piece of mat board over the photograph with a window cut slightly smaller than the image. The image is revealed through the window of the mat board. In this case the glass touches the mat board, not the photograph.
