As I was shooting these Cyprus trees I noticed a white shape slowly moving toward me from deep in the trees. I stayed still and waited, hoping the egret would come to the front, which it did, settling on a clump right in front of me. This created a great contrast of white against dark. Staying motionless for long periods of time allows animals to approach without fear.
